Catherine Baÿ (chorégraphe), Gemma Milà (architecte), Julia Borderie (artiste), Alice Cabaret (urbaniste), Clémence Chapus (urbaniste-historienne), Eloïse Le Gallo (artiste), Ekaterina Shcherbakova (curatrice), Corentin Berger (architecte-designer), Chris Saunders (photographe), Simon Zaborski (artiste), Tanja Vujasinovic (vidéaste), Gildo Bavcevic (vidéaste), Felix De Montety (géographe), Guillaume Cabaret (musicien), Anna Kulikova (médiatrice culturelle), Grace Denis (artiste), William Hessel (graphiste), Claire Huberdeau (graphiste), Cyriac Allard (graphiste).

The Carta Infinita urban exploration group will be taking up residence at The Window from the 14th to the 19th of October, as part of it’s current research project on the city, the 10th arrondissement and rue Gustave Goublier.

Carta Infinita is a participatory workshop aimed at unravelling the sensitive ecology of a given territory through multidisciplinary urban exploration. The first edition of Carta Infinita was held as part of the Venice Architecture Biennale’s Infinite Places exhibition at the French Pavilion in 2018.

For this 2019 edition, the team consists of:
Catherine Baÿ (choreographer), Gemma Milà (architect), Julia Borderie (artist), Alice Cabaret (town planner), Clémence Chapus (urban planner-historian), Eloïse Le Gallo (artist), Ekaterina Shcherbakova (curator), Corentin Berger (architect-designer), Chris Saunders (photographer), Simon Zaborski (artist), Tanja Vujasinovic (videographer), Gildo Bavcevic (videographer), Felix De Montety (geographer), Guillaume Cabaret (musician), Anna Kulikova (cultural mediator), Grace Denis (artist), William Hessel (graphic designer), Claire Huberdeau (graphic designer), Cyriac Allard (graphic designer).

For this second edition of Carta Infinita, the research group led by Gemma Milà (Atelier Berger Milà) and Alice Cabaret (The Street Society) will focus on the creation of an Atlas-showcase within The Window. In collaboration with choreographer Catherine Baÿ (The Window) as well as Julia Borderie, Eloïse Le Gallo and Ekaterina Shcherbakova (Points-Bascule), the clues collected by the participants will be transformed into a live cartography.

The collection of various elements pertaining to the analysis of the neighbouring environment will begin at The Window Gallery, rue Gustave Goublier, before spreading to the territory of the 10th arrondissement. The rue Gustave Goublier street was first created in 1827 under the name of « passage of Industry » between the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Denis and the rue du Faubourg-Saint-Martin. The part between the rue du Faubourg Saint-Martin and the boulevard de Strasbourg later became the rue Gustave-Goublier. This change in nomenclature (from passage to street) reveals a change in its infrastructure, architecture, activities and users. From their different points of view, the participants will reflect on its status and what it reveals about the 10th arrondissement.

* Opening and performance Saturday, October 19 from 17h to 20h.
* Exhibition visible from the street from October 19th to 27th.
